EziMortgage provides the facility through our website www.EziMortgage.co.nz to:

• Access information about medical insurance to assist you understand the key aspects of medical insurance, the product differences and identify the appropriate product which suits your needs.
• Obtain free medical insurance quotations from the insurance companies we have selected.
• Apply online for any of the insurance plans marketed on the website.

Through our website we collect information about you which enables us to provide these services to you. If you apply for medical insurance online through our website the information we collect will be used to assess your applicability for the insurance cover selected. The rules for selection are provided to us by the insurance companies. Once you have provided this information to us on our website this is then passed electronically to the appropriate insurance company. They will then complete any necessary administration requirements they require to enable them to accept your application for insurance and issue your medical insurance Policy. This may include the insurance companies, ourselves or their or our agents or contractors:

• Contacting you by telephone to obtain further health information.
• Requesting your signature on a copy of the Application form.
• Requesting your signature on a Direct Debit form, if you have selected this method of payment.
• Obtaining Payment details if you have not provided these on the website and instead requested to be contacted for these.
• Sending you your Insurance Policy, once your Application for medical insurance has been accepted by them.

EziMortgage is not an insurance company or an insurance broker. Rather we market insurance products on behalf of insurance companies.

To enable us to provide this service to you we collect personal demographic information about you. Through online forms, we collect:

• your name & that of your family members;
• your email address & that of your family members;
• your mobile and landline phone numbers & those of your family members;
• demographic information about you & your family members;
• health information about you & your family members.

We gather information by your disclosing your personal information on this website using the standard on-line forms available. We, or our contractors and agents, may also telephone or write to you to obtain further information.

What we will not do
We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.

Secondly. the information provided by you to us on the online Application form is used by the Insurance Companies who are providing the insurance plans to assess the risk of providing insurance to you, to administer any plan you take out with them and when you make a claim. Your personal information will not be shared with any other third party for any unrelated purpose without your prior consent.

We may do research and provide reports on our customers' demographics, interests and behaviour based on information provided to us by you whilst using the services on our website www.EziMortgage.co.nz. This research and reports only relates to groups in general and we will never identify you individually. We may share these general statistics with the insurance companies providing the insurance plans or partners to enable them to better provide these services to you.

We may for storage and aggregation purposes need to send your personal information internationally. Also, due to the internet infrastructure being global, the information you provide us may be transferred outside to another country that does not have similar data protection legislation.
